Solar Batteries
Rather than selling your excess generated power back to the grid, batteries let you store it and use it when you need it most. Battery storage is typically modular, expandable and can be added to most existing solar systems.
Enquire about BatteriesAre solar batteries right for me?
Battery storage isn’t for everyone. In some cases, you could earn more selling your power back to the grid, than you would save by buying a battery. But it totally depends on when and how you use your electricity.
If you are looking at batteries, it is important to consider the following:
- How large your house is and what appliances you want to run from your battery
- Your electricity usage (eg. Do you use a lot when the sun is down?)
- The amount you receive from your electricity provider’s feed-in tariff
- The cost of the battery system (get a solar quote here) and how long it will take to recoup those costs from your expected energy savings
- Battery compatibility (if you have an existing solar system)
While solar is a great investment for any home or property owner, batteries require some extra consideration. If you’re still unsure about whether a battery is right for you, reach out to us and we’d love to help you out - don’t worry, we definitely won’t sell you a battery if you don’t need one!
